Scratch one scripted show off the Atlanta production slate: MTV’s ‘Finding Carter” is a goner after two seasons.

Zac Pullam, who played Grant on the show, broke the news on Twitter:

MTV confirmed the bad news with TV Line.

This is a bit of a surprise because MTV last year extended the sophomore season, adding 12 extra episodes that aired through December.

“Finding Carter” was about a teen who found out the woman she thought was her mom had actually kidnapped her. The series revolved around her adjusting to life with her birth family, including a twin. While shot in Atlanta, it was fictionally set in Virginia.

The show averaged 916,000 viewers last year, using Live+7 Nielsen data.
