Gladiators will have to wait a little while longer to see who will become the next president on “Scandal.”

With ABC announcing their fall schedule today, Entertainment Weekly is reporting that season six of “Scandal” will not air until midseason.

The news arrives just weeks after Kerry Washington confirmed her second pregnancy by showing off her baby bump at the Met Gala.

We reached out to an ABC spokesperson back then about how the news might affect the show’s sixth season and were told that the network “[does] not comment on the personal lives of [their] talent.”

A new series, “Notorious,” will air in Scandal’s Thursday time slot. According to Deadline, the show stars actress Piper Perabo and is “inspired by the true-life stories of famed criminal defense attorney Mark Geragos and cable news producer Wendy Walker, who serve as executive producers.”

While we wait for the new season of “Scandal,” revisit season five by reading our recaps here.
