I stopped by the Palm restaurant tonight to check in with some local radio veterans who were doing some “Celebrity Bartending” for Bert Weiss’ charity Bert’s Big Adventure.

As a surprise, some of the invitees received caricatures on the walls created by Philadelphia artist Zack Bird, who has been painting for The Palm restaurant group going back more than 22 years. Since the Buckhead restaurant was renovated a few months ago, it has basically started over with its caricatures. Some attendees like Mara Davis, Steak Shapiro and Chris Dimino already had their caricatures on the walls.

The surprised newcomers were “Southside” Steve Rickman of Rock 100.5 (whose caricature was missing his patented ponytail), Bert Show host Kristin Klingshirn, Kicks 101.5 morning host Dallas McCade and former Star 94 jock Tom Sullivan.
