Cynthia Bailey’s Glenwood Park home nearly sold

Cynthia Bailey townhome

“Real Housewives of Atlanta” cast member Cynthia Bailey, who is separated from her husband Peter Thomas, is close to selling her Glenwood Park townhome which went on sale a month ago.

It was listed for sale July 14. A buyer was accepted just 11 days later.

According to zillow.com, the house is now “pending,” which means it hasn’t closed yet but there is a buyer who has committed to the home. As anyone in real estate knows, the deal could collapse at any time before the contracts are signed on closing date. But the fact they are even in escrow right now indicates how hot the in-town market is, even for a house priced as high as $699,000. TMZ said, without attribution, that she received close to her asking price of $699,000.

In her  neighborhood, it’s a relatively pricey property. Zillow notes that comparable homes in the area have sold for between $361,000 and $655,000. According to trulia, the median sale price of a home in Ormewood Park is $261,000 and the average home for sale is priced at $345,615.

Her townhome is much larger than most surrounding properties, with 4,500 square feet, four bedrooms and five bathrooms. The official descriptive:

Beautiful Earth Craft Home in sought after Glenwood Park! Three beautifully appointed levels with top of the line finishings throughout. Smoke grey hardwood floors, a chef’s kitchen with KitchenAid appliances, 2 outdoor terraces and a main floor rear deck, great for entertaining are but a few of the outstanding features . The fireside great room and spectacular formal dining room with an adjoining outdoor terrace provide excellent entertainment space. All this, steps from retail, dining and the Beltline make this one a MUST SEE!!

Over six seasons on “The Real Housewives of Atlanta,” 49-year-old Bailey has been shown many times in the home, such as this shot in her kitchen:

She purchased the home for $597,000 in 2007 before she married Thomas in 2010.
