Just a day after CNN’s Jake Tapper expressed displeasure when Atlanta-based CNN scrolled an anti-semitic chyron, his fellow anchor Brooke Baldwin took exception to a guest using the N-word.
Baldwin, a Westminster grad who anchored out of Atlanta for several years until 2014, today cut off author Charles Kaiser listing several things Donald Trump advisor Stephen Bannon allegedly said or did. “Wow,” she said at first.
After a few moments, visibly upset, she said “Please don’t use the n-word on my show.” Kaiser, in his defense, said he doesn’t normally use the word but was merely “quoting” someone else.
That didn’t sit well with Baldwin.
“We’re done,” she said. “The more I’ve sat here and listened to the fact someone used the n-word on the show [she sighed loudly], it’s not okay. It is not okay. Charles Kaiser – I respect you and enjoy having you as a guest, not okay. By the way, the claim Mr. Bannon used the N word? I I’ve never heard of this so there is that. Take a break.”
