Conservative talk show host Erick Erickson has signed a new contract with News AM 750 and 95.5 WSB for three more years until 2020.

Erickson, who joined the station in 2011, airs on weekdays from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.

“Erick is under-estimated when it comes to his level of knowledge, contacts and inside information in national and state politics,” said Pete Spriggs, director of branding and programming for WSB. “When he hits the air, he is going to often break news and give you deep analysis you won’t be able to get any where else. Plus, he’s humble and coachable.  We have a long list of big stars on WSB who are ultimate team players, and Erick is certainly one of them.”

“I fell into radio by accident, and it has been fun to really move from being a blogger and TV pundit into the role of talk radio host,” said Erickson.  “These last couple of years were not at all what I expected, but I get up every day excited to keep Atlanta entertained and informed with what is happening locally, nationally, and around the globe,” he said.

Erickson, who works mostly out of Macon, left Fox News as a paid contributor in January after five years.

The devout Christian isn’t afraid to kibitz with liberal TV hosts, appearing recently as a pundit on “Real Time With Bill Maher” on HBO. He recently told CBN News, regarding Donald Trump, “the President’s soul is at stake. He needs to repent, as do we all.”

WSB and The Atlanta Journal-Constitution are both part of Cox Media Group.
